View Full Version : OLC's annoying upload time limit

I was okay with the old limit, which seemed to be weekly, on Tuesday. With the new limit, any flights I finish before 1500 on Saturday are lost, since I can't upload them until after I get home from work on Monday. Bummer

Simple, if you have a smart phone. Download SeeYou Recorder on to your
phone, open the app and put your phone in the side pocket. You can
upload the igc file to OLC within minutes after your flight without
the need for a computer. It doesn't take much battery power and
doesn't need to be connected to the network to record. Just to upload.

Jim if I recall you using XCSoar with dell streak. If so you can use wifi to upload your flights to OLC.
Otherwise, just go to the OLC help page and fill up the form at the bottom and your flight will be scored.

Sorry, I was unclear. The OLC accepts all my files, but those that
conclude before 1500 (ish) Saturday are un-scored for 'League'
competition.
I will try the OLC help page. I have both the Streak and iPhone (but
my Streak is currently inoperative) but neither is a CFR. The files
from the Streak and iPhone are not scored for the OLC 'League'
flights.
Hopefully next year I'll have internet connectivity at my hangar.

For OLC League I'm pretty sure you are still are required to have an IGC approve flight recorder, a PDA/PNA/tablet with XCSoar won't cut it.

I'd give you a web link but the OLC's myriad damn PDF documents drive me nuts trying to find something there. Just no sane reason all that crap had to be ground out as so many separate PDF files. Grrr.

Egg Zackery! My current method is to download the files from my 302A
(CFR) onto the laptop nor PDA, then on the following Monday when I get
home after work*, I upload any/all flights to the OLC.

*I spend Friday afternoon through Monday early AM away from home.

Jim, once you get your Streak working, you can download the 302 files directly to the Streak using XCSoar device manager, then upload to OLC using wifi.
